Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies Annual Convention
Hello and welcome! We hope that you and families are keeping well in the era of social distancing. In light of COVID-19 we've decided to take our exhibit stands online. It’s not like being at the event in person, but we hope it offers at least some semblance of normality during this challenging time. Below you will find a list of the books we would have had on display, as well as information on who to contact if you are interested in publishing with us. We've also increased our online discount so that being at home doesn't mean you have to miss out on conference prices, if you're in the market for a good book that is. If not, then perhaps just close your eyes for a moment and pretend you’re in the exhibit hall, about to head off to the wine reception or grab a coffee….
And now that you've got yourself that all important drink, how about a quick word from one of our editors:
Name: Liz Friend-Smith
Title: Commissioning Editor
Message from the editor
Eastern European and Eurasian history plays an important role in Cambridge’s list, and the ASEEES meeting offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our publishing in the field with scholars from all around the world, and to begin and continue many fascinating and productive conversations. I am truly sorry that we won’t have a chance to meet in person this year, but I hope the 2020 virtual convention is a huge success. Please do contact me with any proposals or questions about Cambridge’s European history list. I would also be very happy to talk by phone or Microsoft Teams/Zoom/Skype. I look forward to hearing from you.
If journals are more your thing, then here are a few that we think might be of particular interest.
We have increased our online discount to 30% to match the offer that would have been available to delegates at our conference stand. Regrettably, the online offer is limited to certain countries (for the full list of the countries included in the offer please see www.cambridge.org/conferencediscount ), however our customer services team are more than happy to accept orders offline and will honour the discount for customers in all countries where trading sanctions do not apply. Please contact email@example.com with your order details and reference the conference discount code noted below.
It’s not your fault that you can’t buy a book from us in person at the moment so we will also be offering free shipping on all online orders for books included in this promotion. For full terms and conditions please visit www.cambridge.org/freeconferencedelivery
We are pleased to offer free access to select books chapters and journal articles through December 31st: cambridge.org/ASEEES20_reads
Congratulations to our ASEEES book award winners!
