Society for American Archaeology Annual Meeting
Hello and welcome! We hope that you and families are keeping well in the era of social distancing. In light of COVID-19 we've decided to take our exhibit stands online. It’s not like being at the event in person, but we hope it offers at least some semblance of normality during this challenging time. Below you will find a list of the books we would have had on display, as well as information on who to contact if you are interested in publishing with us. We've also increased our online discount so that being at home doesn't mean you have to miss out on conference prices, if you're in the market for a good book that is. If not, then perhaps just close your eyes for a moment and pretend you’re in the exhibit hall, about to head off to the wine reception or grab a coffee….
And now that you've got yourself that all important drink, how about a quick word from one of our editors:
Name: Dr Jamie McIntyre
Title: Senior Commissioning Editor: Humanities and Social Sciences Journals
Email: To contact Jamie please email during or after the conference:firstname.lastname@example.org
Message from the editors
Jamie McIntyre (Senior Commissioning Editor, Humanities and Social Sciences Journals, Cambridge University Press, UK) joined the Press in 2010 after a spell as a postdoctoral researcher in classics. He’s responsible for journals across the HSS list and leads on the classics and archaeology titles.
Beatrice Rehl: Greetings! I was so looking forward to meeting you at the SAA conference. Fortunately, technology enables us to connect by alternative means. Do send me your proposals -- I am especially interested in topics on the archaeology of China, the Ancient Near East, the ancient Mediterranean world, and ancient North, Meso-, and South America. I am also available to discuss your publication plans via telephone. I look forward to hearing from you!
If journals are more your thing, then here are a few that we think might be of particular interest.
We have increased our online discount to 30% to match the offer that would have been available to delegates at our conference stand. Regrettably, the online offer is limited to certain countries (for the full list of the countries included in the offer please see www.cambridge.org/conferencediscount ), however our customer services team are more than happy to accept orders offline and will honour the discount for customers in all countries where trading sanctions do not apply. Please contact email@example.com with your order details and reference the conference discount code noted below.
It’s not your fault that you can’t buy a book from us in person at the moment so we will also be offering free shipping on all online orders for books included in this promotion. For full terms and conditions please visit www.cambridge.org/freeconferencedelivery
Cambridge is thinking of our friends and colleagues through these extraordinary circumstances. Since we are unable to get together we would like to extend our services at this time and provide book chapters, journal articles as well as a 30% conference discount on the best in archaeology with free shipping where applicable. Please enjoy this collection and order through our website for the conference discount.
15 April – 17 April 2021
