Integrating video in our secondary classrooms

Integrating video in our secondary classrooms

Date: Thursday 17 March

Time: 15:00 GMT

Short video clips have become a huge part of our day-to-day communication on social media, from Facebook to Whatsapp. Teens and pre-teens are leading the trend in using video as a medium to communicate and express themselves. In this webinar we'll be exploring how we can take advantage of this trend to support and extend speaking and listening activities in our day-to-day teaching, as well as to increase motivation and investment in learning.

Ceri Jones is a freelance teacher, trainer and materials writer. She’s been working in ELT since 1986 and in Spain since 1998. She has written for a number of coursebook series for both adults and secondary and is particularly interested in student-centred materials and activities. She writes about her experiences and her experiments on her blog, Close Up (www.cerij.wordpress.com). Ceri has recently been working on Eyes Open and Uncover, new secondary courses for Cambridge University Press.
