Terms and Conditions: Definition of the Day

1. Eligibility
1.1 All Twitter users who retweet a 'Definition of the Day' originating from a Cambridge University Press official Twitter account, along with #probabilitydictionary or #Probabilitydictionary between Monday 31st August 00.00 GMT and Sunday 6th September 00.00 GMT will be automatically entered into our prize draw to win one of two copies of The Cambridge Dictionary of Probability and Its Applications isbn 9781107075160.
1.2 Incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
1.3 Entries are limited to one per person.
1.4 Entries must be submitted via Twitter and entry is restricted to one per person. Late, or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
1.5 All entries must be received by 6th September 00:00 GMT.

2. Prize Draw General Terms
2.1 There shall be no cash substitute or alternative prize offered.
2.1 The prize is non-transferable.
2.2 The two winners will be drawn at random from all entries received by the closing date.
2.3 The two winners will be contacted within 14 days of the closing date of the prize draw. Should Cambridge be unable to contact the winner or should the winner be unable to accept the prize, Cambridge reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.
2.4 The prize draw is for one x copy of The Cambridge Dictionary of Probability and Its Applications isbn 9781107075160.

3. General
3.1 Cambridge will not sell your personal information to others or release it to others without your prior consent, and will only use your personal data as outlined in our privacy policy (see:
3.2 Cambridge reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any revised version will be effective immediately that it is displayed on this website.
3.3 In the event that these Terms and Conditions are translated into any language other than English, the terms of the English Language version shall prevail in the event of any conflict.
3.4 Employees of Cambridge University Press and associated companies will not be eligible to participate.
3.5 These entry rules form part of the terms and conditions and it is a condition of entry that the rules are accepted as final.
3.6 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English laws. Any dispute arising out of the prize draw shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
3.7 The name and county of the winner will be available by sending an email to Customer Data and Marketing Services at or by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Customer Data and Marketing Services, Cambridge University Press, University Printing House, Shaftesbury Road, Cambridge, CB2 8RU, England.
