ASEEES awards two Press titles

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies has announced three of its 2018 prizes have been awarded to titles published by Cambridge University Press.

Both the Wayne S. Vucinich Book Prize and the Davis Center Book Prize in Political and Social Studies go to Losing Pravda: Ethics and The Press in Post-Truth Russia by Natalia Roudakova.

The Wayne S. Vucinich Book Prize is given annually to the most important contribution to Russian, Eurasian, and East European studies in any discipline of the humanities or social sciences. The Davis Center Book Prize in Political and Social Studies goes to an outstanding monograph on Russia, Eurasia, or Eastern Europe in anthropology, political science, sociology, or geography.

Additionally, The Ed Hewett Book Prize, celebrating an outstanding publication on the political economy of Russia, Eurasia and/or Eastern Europe, was awarded to The Political Economy of Pension Policy Reversal in Post-Communist Countries by Sarah Wilson Sokhey.

Prize winners will be recognized during the ASEEES Annual Convention award ceremony on Friday, December 7th in Boston, MA.
