The Taylor-Schechter Genizah Collection, housed at Cambridge University Library, provides a unique kaleidoscope of medieval Jewish society. Its many thousands of manuscript fragments, discovered in Cairo in the late nineteenth century, have shed light on almost every aspect of Jewish life in the Mediterranean, and these texts and documents reflect both sacred and mundane realms of daily existence. Collectively, volumes published in the series provide a comprehensive survey of this information, and systematically chart for scholars of Hebraica and Judaica the great treasures of the Cairo Genizah.
