Terms and Conditions: Cambridge Academic Conference Discount Promotion
1. Eligibility
1.1 The conference discount is available to individual purchasers only. It is not applicable to institutional or trade purchases.
1.2 The conference discount is only valid for purchases made:
1.2.1 in person at a Cambridge University Press (“Cambridge”) Academic conference stand worldwide;
1.2.2 online via www.cambridge.org/academic by customers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe (excluding Russia), the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand; or
1.2.3 via your region's Cambridge customer service department. Visit www.cambridge.org/academic/contactus for your local branch’s contact details.
1.3 Conference discount codes are valid online for 30 days from the conference start date, as listed on www.cambridge.org/conferences
1.4 Only one promotional discount code can be used per order.
1.5 A promotional discount code cannot be used:
1.5.1 after an order has been placed; or
1.5.2 in conjunction with any other offer or discount
1.6 Promotional discounts are:
1.6.1 only available while supplies last;
1.6.2 non-transferable, not for resale, and not redeemable for cash; and
1.6.3 valid only for the specific books featured per individual conference promotion
1.7 Cambridge reserves the right to withdraw, amend or cancel a discount offer at any time.
2. Promotion Terms
2.1 General
2.1.1 Promotional offers differ by conference and are limited to the specific books featured per individual conference promotion. Our current conference promotions are listed below (sections 2.2 to 2.4).
2.1.2 Books included in a conference promotion may be eligible for free shipping. Please see our free shipping terms and conditions for full details.
2.1.3 We reserve the right to keep the last copy of a book on display at our stand until the final day of the exhibit. Last copies can be purchased at any time and collected on the last day (or earlier, as agreed with event staff).
2.2 Humanities and Social Science Conference Promotion
2.2.1 A 60% discount is available on display copies of paperback books purchased at a Cambridge exhibit stand at humanities or social science events ('humanities or social science event' as defined by Cambridge). Offer excludes Cambridge Bibles products.
2.2.2 A 75% discount is available on display copies of hardback books purchased at a Cambridge University Press stand at humanities or social science events. Offer excludes Cambridge Bibles products.
2.2.3 A 30% discount is available on books shipped to a customer. This includes purchases made at a Cambridge exhibit stand, via our Customer Services team, or online using the conference discount code.
2.3 Medical Conference Promotion
2.3.1 A 20% discount is available on books purchased at Cambridge exhibit stands at medical events ('medical event’ as defined by Cambridge).2.3.2 A 20% discount is also available on books included in the medical conference promotion when purchased online using the conference discount code, or via our Customer Service team.
2.4 Science and Technology Conference Promotion
2.4.1 A 60% discount is available on all display copies purchased at a Cambridge exhibit stands at science and technology events (‘science and technology event’ as defined by Cambridge).
2.4.2 A 30% discount is available on books shipped to a customer. This includes purchases made at a Cambridge exhibit stand, via our Customer Services team, or online using the conference discount code.
3. General
3.1 Cambridge will not sell your personal information to others or release it to others without your prior consent, and will only use your personal data as outlined in our privacy policy (see: http://www.cambridge.org/about-us/legal-notices/privacy-policy).
3.2 Cambridge reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any revised version will be effective immediately that it is displayed on this website.
3.3 In the event that these Terms and Conditions are translated into any language other than English, the terms of the English Language version shall prevail in the event of any conflict.
3.4 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English laws. Any dispute arising out of the use of any discount offer(s) shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
