Insights
Helping children learn naturallyResearch into pre-primary learners shows that courses at this age need to match the different needs and learning styles to make learning as natural as possible, feeding on the enthusiasm and joy of young learners.
Different needs and learning styles
The approach and activities in this course take into account the differing abilities of children at this age as shown by research. The use of an integrated curriculum means that pupils study English not only as a subject, but also as a means to learn more about the world around them. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Growing with the children
At this age, teaching has to follow and respect the children's natural development. As they grow, their abilities develop and this first experience of learning English takes place at the same time they are developing other areas of their education.
Results
Preparing children for life-long learningAt this early stage, children need to adopt the habits and learn the skills that will allow them to continue learning at the next stages of their education.
Rewarding children's efforts
Children try and try again until they have achieved what they want to do. We need to set realistic targets to help them succeed, and then praise and reward their work. This trains them in the importance of making an effort and paves the way for a future of successful learning.
Home-school connection
With positive reinforcement from home and school the pupil will develop self confidence in general and in particular in their skills in English language. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
