Flow, focus and foraging: why your motivation matters as much as your students'
Cambridge Teacher Development Seminars
Tuesday 10th November 2015
6.00 - 8.00 pm*
Venue:
Cambridge University Press Bookshop
1 Trinity Street
Cambridge

From time to time we all have 'golden' lessons - lessons when we leave the classroom feeling genuinely excited about what our students have achieved and knowing where we want to take them next. Do these 'golden' lessons happen by chance? What steps can we take to make them happen more often?
This session explores engagement and pleasure in learning and teaching (flow), how we can exploit tasks and materials fully to maximise motivation and learning (focus) and how monitoring our learners appropriately (foraging) helps us plan for future flow and focus.
There will be the opportunity to browse all Cambridge ELT books and materials and purchase at a special discount of 20% on the night.
All participants will receive a FREE copy of a Cambridge English Empower Student's Book.
Rachel Godfrey has worked in ELT for 25 years. She is Cambridge DELTA qualified and has worked as a teacher, CELTA tutor and ICELT tutor in France, Hungary, Slovenia, Russia and the UK. She is the author of Cambridge English Empower B1+ Teacher's Book (Cambridge University Press 2015).
