Power Up is a six-level course and is official preparation material for each level of the Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners.

Pupil's Book

Offers nine core units and a Welcome unit with clear learning objectives, lively activities enhanced with captivating audio and video, three review units and stickers in Levels 1 and 2.

Activity Book

Offers additional activities giving the learner the opportunity to practise exam tasks in full, reflect on the unit goals, and reflect on their learning with a 'mission diary. The Activity Book contains a code giving access to Leaner Resources, including Practice Extra.

My Home Booklet

This magazine-style homework booklet (free with the Activity Book) is full of fun language activities like tongue twisters, fun facts from around the world and puzzles that children can enjoy at home.

Teacher components

The Teacher's Book helps you make the most of Power Up. There's practical help like step by step lesson plans and activities, including warm-ups and a differentiated pace for fast and slow finishers. It also contains a grammar reference guide and a Cambridge English Qualifications guide for Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers, A2 Key and B1 Preliminary for Schools. Flashcards and posters are also available for each level.

Exam tasks are broken into discrete micro-activities in the Pupil's Book.

Formative Assessment

Formative assessment embedded in Missions completes the picture of students’ progress in a way that exam papers cannot. Power Up takes a 360-degree view of learning by looking at language and life competencies which are surfaced through multi-stage collaborative tasks that run through the unit and culminate with a classroom project at the end of the unit.
