Ronald Carter

Ronald Carter, who died in September 2018, was Professor of Modern English Language in the School of English Studies, University of Nottingham. He published extensively in the fields of language education, applied linguistics and literary-linguistic studies. He was co-author of Cambridge Grammar of English, Exploring Spoken English and Exploring Grammar in Context, and co-editor of The Cambridge Guide to Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages for Cambridge ELT.
