The Cambridge Reader desktop app is now here!
The new desktop app allows you to use your Cambridge Elevate and Digital Classroom books and resources offline.
To install the app you'll need:
Microsoft Windows 7 or 10, 64-bit processor versions
or
Mac 10.12 Sierra and above
Once you've downloaded the app, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
You can also download the Cambridge Reader app in your tablet.

How do I install the software on my computer?
To install the Cambridge Reader desktop app you may need administrator access, depending on how your device has been set up you may or may not have these. If the installation is being blocked, contact your institution's IT department as they should be able to help you. If they cannot resolve the issue, please contact our Customer Services team for more help.
The Cambridge Reader cannot be installed across a network, each computer needs to install the application individually.

Why is my download being blocked?
Your institution may not have added Cambridge University Press to their safe list of software providers and may block the download. If this happens, contact your institution's IT department as they should be able to help you. If they cannot resolve the issue, please contact our Customer Services team for more help.

Why can't I log into the Cambridge Reader?
You need to log into the online ereader before you can access your account on the Cambridge Reader desktop app. This is because you need to accept our Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (EULA). If you have not logged into the online ereader you will see the message below.

How do I find out if I have a 32-bit or 64-bit version of the Windows app?
Windows 7: Click Start, then click Control Panel. Click System and Maintenance and then click System.
Windows 10: Click Start, then click Settings followed by About.

Is there a 32-bit of the Windows reader?
We currently only offer a 64-bit version, if you require a 32-bit version please let our Customer Services team know. If we get lots of queries about this then we may develop this version in the future.

How much space does the Cambridge Reader Windows app use?
The application requires at least 188.3 MB of free space to install. However additional space is also required to download titles and additional media content such as videos.
The size can also be found during the installation process.
