Graduate Programme

Shape the future of publishing

At Cambridge University Press, we believe in nurturing future leadership talent and providing graduates with a great start to a career in the exciting world of international publishing.

About the Programme

We regard our graduates as vital to the future success of our business. Therefore the programme is designed to be as comprehensive as possible. Successful applicants will gain a broad view of our business, experiencing different business streams, publishing and shared service, to open up avenues of potential career paths. It also provides the opportunity to network with key members of staff designed to promote and accelerate your future aspirations.

You will need to be self-reliant, able and willing to take responsibility for your own development.  It will be up to you to make the most of each assignment so you must have a positive approach to work and an adaptable and resourceful nature.  The world of work isn’t black and white so the ability to ask questions, interpret directions and operate productively in the face of ambiguity is key. However, you will be supported throughout the duration of the programme.  Each graduate will have a “home department” which provides a base with support from your line manager. Support will also be provided by a mentor, recent graduates and our Head of Learning and Development.

You won’t be expected to know which area you want to specialise in but by the end of the 15 months, you will have developed rounded business skills and experience in different business areas to assist you in deciding your future career.

This fast-track programme is open to graduates with business skills and experience.
