Much more than an English course, Power Up lessons build the skills learners need to face life’s journey with confidence. Collaborative Missions and embedded assessment practice help prepare young learners for exams and spark the cognitive and social competencies to achieve success.
Collaborative real-life activities, prepared in stages, open and close every unit. After each stage the learners reflect on their learning and do a self-evaluation in the Activity Book. As they complete each stage they tick off the check list to see their progress.
Literature in every unit exposes children to different literary genres and encourages reading for pleasure. This section develops a range of emotional and social competencies.
Ordering events in the story, prediction, identifying the main points and skimming are essential reading skills. Power Up practises them across all levels.

There are two vocabulary sections in every unit, presented through attractive visuals, that aid comprehension. In lower levels the visuals are attractive illustrations and animations; in higher levels they are in photograph and video vlog format.
