At this stage, we begin to look at letters within words, providing an opportunity to practise spelling and grammar. Additionally, formation of numbers 0–100 (in words and numerals) are included at this stage to tie in with the National Curriculum 2014 for Mathematics. The four families of letter join are introduced at the end of this year.
