Room-only hire

Six exceptional meeting and event spaces all benefit from their own individual style. Each room is flooded with natural light and equipped with the latest meeting technology. Prices are for a full day.

The Oriel Room

The Oriel Room

Arguably one of the most stunning meeting rooms in Cambridge, this Gothic room is perfectly suited to executive board meetings for up to 20 people. The room features a solid oak table fixed in an open rectangle, with individual lights, generous leather chairs and, its centrepiece, the breathtaking Oriel window. Technology includes an 80 inch presentation screen and Microsoft Teams Rooms system with microphones.

The Darwin Room

Our largest room offers the ideal environment for a variety of meetings, events and exhibitions. Just off The Pitt Building’s impressive reception area, the Darwin Room is a versatile and spacious ground-floor conference suite with climate control, an abundance of natural light, built-in A/V equipment and Wi-Fi internet access.

The Newton Room

Also on the ground floor, the Newton Room has a more intimate feel. With all the technical specifications of the Darwin Room, this room is ideal for training sessions or smaller boardroom meetings. The two rooms are connected by the rear reception area which can be used for refreshments or display space.

The Bentley Room

The Bentley Room

Located on the second floor, the Bentley Room is a quiet room enjoying triple aspect windows, an abundance of natural light and wonderful views of Kings Parade. The room is of generous proportions and offers high-specification, audio-visual equipment including Microsoft Teams Rooms software, internet access and magnetic walls for displays.

The Cass Room sits adjacent to the Wright Room and has been delightfully restored to offer a traditional meeting space equipped with modern technology including Microsoft Teams Rooms software. The room is ideal for interviews, smaller meetings or breakout space.

Beautifully refurbished with exceptional attention to detail, the Wright Room exudes a traditional Cambridge character. Featuring book-lined walls creating a quiet, studious atmosphere, modern integral audio-visual equipment and Microsoft Teams Rooms capabilities, it is easy to understand why this room is in such demand.

The Wellbeing Room

Recently refurbished our new Wellbeing Room offers a quiet, contemplative space away from the hustle and bustle of the building. Comfortable seating, soft lighting and reading material encourage delegates to take some time for themselves and to use the space for their benefit.

Breakfast meeting

We want to ensure that you and your guests get the best start to your day. Our mouthwatering breakfast menu offers:

  • Hot bacon baguettes or rolls with sauces
  • Hot sausage baguettes or rolls with sauces
  • Smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel bites
  • Continental cheese and/or meats selection with freshly baked bread
  • Danish pastries and muffins
  • Your choices of breakfast cereals or muesli
  • Yoghurts
  • Whole fresh fruit selection
  • Cut fresh fruit platter

Evening reception

Your evening events could have a no more elegant and welcoming backdrop. Award ceremonies, fundraisers, evening canapé receptions, presentations, launches – we have in-depth experience of hosting all these and more. Your guests will leave impressed and you will leave happy. Our standard evening hours are 17:30–21:00 but we are pleased to discuss an extension to these if you require it.

Standard times

Full day 8:30 - 17:30

Half day - morning 8:30 - 13:00

Half day - afternoon 13:00 - 17:30

Evening reception 17:30 - 21:00

There is an additional charge of £175.00 per hour outside of our standard times.

What's included

All six meeting and event spaces offer free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, the latest audio-visual equipment, comprehensive office facilities and an expert conference team on hand to assist you. Microsoft Teams meeting software is available as standard in the Bentley, Cass, Oriel, and Wright rooms.
