John Corbett
John has been in ELT for around 25 years, as a teacher, teacher trainer and educational consultant. He has worked in the UK, Italy, Russia and Brazil, and led seminars on language and culture in many other parts of the world. His experience of education ranges from private language schools to British Council courses to university language departments.
John is currently Professor of Applied Language Studies in the Department of English Language at Glasgow University. He has published articles, and written and edited books on a wide range of subjects, including monographs and jointly-authored guides to intercultural language education and ELT, teaching Old English to beginners, and exploring English with online corpora.
