Global competency focuses on developing particular skills and attitudes: the knowledge and understanding of global issues and intercultural concerns, the fostering of analytical and critical thinking and the valuing of cultural diversity.
This webinar shows how these concepts can be incorporated easily in class via practical and engaging ideas that can be used at different ages and levels.
Ben lives in Barcelona and works as an English teacher, teacher trainer and materials writer. He has taught for over twenty years in the UK, Spain and Hong Kong and currently teaches Materials Writing on an online ESOL Masters at The New School, New York. He is the author, with Paul Driver, of the Cambridge handbook Language Learning with Digital Video. Ben has recently been working on Eyes Open and Uncover, new secondary courses for Cambridge University Press.
