Putting Students in the Director’s Chair
Date: Tuesday 17 November
Time: 15:00
Giving students control over their own film-making projects can empower and motivate them. This webinar will take you through the basic steps of introducing filmmaking projects that allow learners to have most of the control over their work. From the project start to the actual creation of a video, you’ll learn how having a project plan with clear parameters in place, as well as suggested outcomes, can give students enough freedom to create the videos they want without getting overwhelmed by the details. If you've wanted to do film with your students but have been hesitant to do so, this webinar can get you started on some initial projects.
In addition to being an ELT writer and editor, Anna Whitcher has extensive experience in filmmaking and film production, particularly of short films for the ELT market. She has worked with multiple ELT publishers as a scriptwriter, producer, director and project manager, applying both her editorial skills and her creative sensibility to the films she has helped to develop.
