Juliet Starbuck: Adolescence and Learning – The Teenage Brain
Tuesday 15th May, 2018
Join Educational Psychologist Juliet Starbuck for a look at the teenage brain in the classroom. What is the impact of changes in the brain on adolescent behaviour and thinking? How does social influence affect learning? And what can we do to support the students we teach?
Juliet is a passionate and accomplished educational psychologist, trainer and consultant. She supports teachers and senior school staff to cope with the daily challenges of the classroom. She speaks at conferences and runs workshops on topics such as parenting, restorative justice, neuroscience, motivation, attachment and therapeutic communication. She's particularly interested in helping teachers and parents to help their students to be ready to learn. Juliet is also an academic and professional tutor on the doctoral course in educational and child psychology at University College London.
