To err is human: strategies for higher-level IELTS Speaking success
Thursday 23rd August 2018 at 10am BST
About the webinar: To increase a candidate's chance of a higher score in the IELTS Speaking test, it helps to consider in more depth how spoken discourse works outside of a test room. This webinar explains how, by doing so, learners can be provided with more scope to develop both language and exam skills. It also demonstrates ways in which the material in MINDSET Level 3 can be exploited in order to deliver engaging lessons and provide the scaffolding to help students reach a more advanced level and an improved score.
About the speaker: Greg is an experienced, DELTA-qualified teacher and teacher trainer who began teaching IELTS at International House in London, where he trained and qualified as an IELTS Examiner in both Writing and Speaking. After moving to Cambridge in 2013, he has been working at an international college, at various times managing the English Language department, developing appropriate courses to run alongside A Level and GCSE study, and primarily teaching IELTS and English for Academic Purposes classes to students whose ambition is to enter a UK or English-speaking university.
