Sir Anthony Seldon and Mike Finn launch The Coalition Effect 2010 - 2015 to a full crowd at the LSE

The Coalition Effect 2010 - 2015 was launched at the London School of Economics on Wednesday 25 March amid a flurry of media interest. Described by Guardian columnist Matthew d'Anconna as 'a collection of superb insights by first-class writers' the book asks if the coalition has delivered on its promises and considers the effects of coalition government on politics.

Gathered at the LSE to discuss key themes of the book were volume editor Sir Anthony Seldon, a leading political commentator and historian, and his co-editor Mike Finn, a former political speechwriter to the leader of the Liberal Democrats. Joining them on stage were Dr Rosie Campbell from Birkbeck College, University of London, political scientist Dr Philip Cowley, and chairing the discussion was Tony Travers, Professor in the Department of Government at LSE. A capacity audience listened to the speakers explore a range of issues from economics and foreign policy to what the coalition did for women before joining the discussion in a lively Q&A session. The book has sparked huge media interest from national newspapers, TV and radio and is out now.
