Using the complete, unabridged text established in the New Cambridge Shakespeare edition, Naxos are making an audio version of Romeo and Juliet. With the CDs, the listener may listen to individual scenes or speeches by the use of access points. The set of three CDs or tapes is accompanied by notes and a play synopsis. It features Michael Sheen and Kate Beckinsale as the lovers, supported by Fiona Shaw as the Nurse and Heathcote Williams as Friar Lawrence. The CUP versions feature the New Cambridge Shakespeare design and logo.
