The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible is a complete and thorough revision of the Revised Standard Version. First published in 1989, the NRSV incorporates the latest modern biblical knowledge, and yet enables readers to understand the text easily and accurately. One significant new feature is the use of common-gender words, instead of masculine ones, where the intention of the ancient texts is clear. As well as the New Testament, this slim volume incorporates the Psalms and Proverbs, incorporating material from the Old Testament which Christian readers are most familiar with. The NRSV New Testament has been designed to fit easily into an inside pocket or a handbag, so that it can be used for daily reading. The text is printed in one paragraph across the page, making it easier to read. Our slim volume has been bound in soft imitation leather with brass corners, to look attractive and last as well.
