Production of printed journals copies to be put on hold
Due to the development and impact of the coronavirus pandemic, we are seeing significant disruption to the global supply chain for the manufacture and distribution of printed journals. We have therefore taken the unprecedented decision to halt all journal issue printing from 25th March until further notice. View FAQs here.
We apologise for the impact that this will have, but the physical delivery of printed journals is becoming increasingly difficult and this is causing problems with stock build-up and non-delivery, which must be addressed.
We do hope and expect to resume printing in the near future, as soon as the effects of this global disruption have subsided. We will keep the situation under close review, especially with regard to public health concerns, and will update you as soon as anything changes.
In the meantime, we are focussing upon the following processes to maintain our service:
- Processing manuscripts and loading content onto Cambridge Core as usual so that issues will be published online on time
- Processing renewals so that when manufacturing & distribution return to normal, outstanding issues are printed and dispatched
- Working with our suppliers to identify exactly which issues have been printed or dispatched and which will now be held back
- Facilitating online access for any society members who require it

Update on conference attendance
Regrettably, the Academic division of Cambridge University Press has decided to cancel all attendance at conferences and events until the end of August. We feel that this is the right decision to minimise any risks to our team and to the wider community. We will keep the situation under review. We have not taken this decision lightly as we know how important academic conferences are to the community and our publishing partners.
In the meantime, we are extending the online discount to 30 percent to match the discount we would have offered to delegates in attendance at the conference. Our teams are also working with conference organisers where possible to offer other forms of support to these communities.
Simply visit our Conferences page, find the relevant meeting, and add the desired title to your cart. The discount will automatically be applied.
