Large format book with very nice colour plates for each of the 13 species of wild cattle in the world. This work is very valuable not only for the nice illustrations but in particular for the amount and quality of data contained in it. This book treats not only the chapters of each species with a richness of information not found in other works but also a whole range of other topics from the evolution of Bovini to the ecological role of these animals in their ecosystems, from different anatomical parts in the context of anatomy and evolution of these organs to various cases of study on these animals in different regions of the world. There are also many photos, charts and tables. It is addressed not only to researchers and professionals but also to all fans of large mammals that will find in this volume a considerable amount of information up to date and also unpublished. In one of the reviews has been defined the Bible of wild cattle and I can confirm this statement! Strongly recommended.
