Language Research
Our link with the University of Cambridge and its extensive Cambridge English Corpus gives us access to the most up-to-date language research into the evolution of language. We know, as teachers, that language is evolving all the time. It is a constant process, and advances in our world in industry and technology have had a huge impact on the language we hear and speak.
Often courses fail to pick up on these new words and phrases, so the language we teach doesn't always reflect the language that is used on the streets.Â
In the Changing Language features, which appears in alternate units, we present these changes in a fun way through video presentations by our language expert, who explains what the research has found, and entertaining interviews by our reporter on the streets of London.
