Jack C. Richards is an internationally
recognized authority on methodology, teacher development, and
materials design, and has taught in universities and teacher
education centers in New Zealand, the United States, Indonesia,
Hong Kong, and Singapore. He has written many acclaimed classroom
texts, among those the worlds most successful English
course, New Interchange, and teacher resource books,
including Approaches and Methods in Language Teaching, Reflective
Teaching in Second Language Classrooms, and Beyond Training
Carlos Barbisan (MA Reading University,
U.K.) is an experienced teacher, teacher trainer, and coursebook
writer. He has taught in Uruguay and Brazil and has run courses
for teachers in Latin America and Europe. Carlos has written
courses for teaching English to children, adolescents and adults.
His main area of interest is teaching young adolescents.
Professor Chuck Sandy has directed English language
programs and taught in universities, language institutes, and
teacher-education centers in Japan, the United States, Korea,
and Brazil. In addition, he is a frequent lecturer on English
language teaching throughout Asia, South America, and the United
States. He is Professor of English Language and Culture at Chubu
University in Japan.
