    • It is a challenge for the mapmaker to fit a distance figure, a long name and a second distance figure in the very restricted space between the symbols for Adtaberna Frigida and Pisis, not to mention the river course before the latter. Although he accomplishes this feat deftly, and even seems to leave room for route linework, the copyist evidently declines to add it; he could barely have made a chicane.
