Since it seems an integral part of the layout, possibly this was a slip made by the mapmaker rather than by a later copyist. Perhaps the coincidence that hereabouts, on this route and on the one below it between Graviacis and Matvcaio, as many as seven names all have the distance figure XIII or XIIII may somehow have contributed to the confusion.</item>
