Perhaps it should be taken as ending at Cio instead, but that is not what the map shows, since the Cio stretch only begins at the chicane preceding the name. If this was indeed the mapmaker's meaning, then he is undermined here by his own use of stretches for places. To go by sea, rather than by land, from Cyzico to Pylae would make sense.
