Well above the name Bocontior(vm), with the distance figure XIII for Avgvstvm in between, is written ADDEAM. It seems reasonable to assume (with ItMiller 136) that this isolated lettering is intended to supplement the name Bocontior(vm). Why it should be where it is, and when it was placed there (by the mapmaker, or by a copyist later ?), must remain open questions.
