   <p id="placenote301">Without doubt the second letter is "a". On Weber's 1976 photograph the first letter does indeed seem to be "T", but here it looks more like "V". Visible on the parchment itself (March 2003) are the lower part of a stroke sloping down, and then an entire stroke sloping up.</p>
