Viewing global & cultural topics through your students' lens

In this practical workshop, Ben and Ceri discuss how best to present and explore culutral topics with secondary students, looking at ways of placing students' culture, community and identity at the heart of our teaching practice. They'll be exploring a range of practical ideas for exploiting images and video to motivate teens and foster language acquisition.
Ben lives in Barcelona and works as an English teacher, teacher trainer and materials writer. Ceri's been working in ELT since 1986. Ben and Ceri have recently been working on Eyes Open and Uncover, the new secondary courses from Cambridge University Press.
