DESCRIPTION
Penpals for Handwriting is a complete handwriting scheme for 3-11 year olds. The Foundation 1 Penpals for Handwriting Teacher's Book comprises a series of units offering practical ideas and activities for developing gross and fine motor skills including patterns and basic letter movements. The activities link to Physical Development and Expressive Arts and Design. The Teacher’s Book also includes suggestions for using the Foundation 1 Penpals Interactive activities. A supplementary audio CD features a range of music to accompany the activities, bringing them to life and making preparing for handwriting great fun.The Foundation 1 Teacher’s book is structured specifically for use in a Foundation 1 environment. For each of the 12 units we provide banks of creative ideas for supporting the development of handwriting for inside and outside settings. We also provide some teacher-led activities too and these dovetail into the F2 provision.
