Chapter 2 expands on ‘Satellite mega-constellations create risks in Low Earth Orbit, the atmosphere and on Earth’, (2021) 11:1 Scientific Reports 1–8.

Chapter 7 draws on ‘Cis-lunar space and the security dilemma’, (2022) 78:1 Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists 17–21.

Chapter 4 is based on ‘Unnecessary risks created by uncontrolled rocket reentries’, (2022) Nature Astronomy 1-5, at https://doi.org/10.1038/s41550-022-01718-8 (co-authored with Ewan Wright and Cameron Byers).

Portions of other chapters draw, less directly, on five essays published in the Saturday Comment section of the Globe and Mail, and one op-ed in the same newspaper.
