This interdisciplinary series, aimed at all scientists with an interest in the world's cold regions, reflects the growth of research activity in the polar lands and oceans and provides a means of synthesizing the results. Each book in the series covers the present state of knowledge in a given subject area, resulting in a series which provides polar scientists with an invaluable, broad-ranging library.
