About the Authors
  • Migration and Climate Change provides the first authoritative overview of the relationship between climate change and migration. It brings together both case studies and syntheses from different parts of the world and critically discusses empirical evidence, methodological challenges, conceptual gaps, policy responses, and normative issues. The book constitutes a unique and thorough introduction to one of the most discussed but least understood consequences of climate change and brings together experts from a wide range of disciplines, including anthropology, climatology, demography, geography, law, political science and sociology.

    • Offers a balanced synthesis of scientific knowledge about one of the most discussed human consequences of climate change, appealing to those who want to go beyond headlines and sensational reports about the consequences of climate change
    • Leading experts from climatology, geography, economics, sociology, political science, anthropology and law provide authoritative synthesis of research and debates
    • The introduction provides a comprehensive overview of the main scientific debates and empirical results concerning migration and environmental change

    Reviews & endorsements

'This edited volume brings together some of the leading authors working on the relationship between climate-driven environmental change and human mobility. In so doing, it presents a comprehensive overview of a body of knowledge which, until now, has remained fragmented and debated.' James Morrissey, Journal of Refugee Studies
