Memberships are sold on a calendar year basis.  If your membership includes print copies of the Federation's journal, Theatre Research International and you become a member during the middle of the year, all back copies published during that subscription year will be delivered to you.

IFTR member rates differ according to your country category and employment status.

There are 3 types of membership:

  • Individual Membership, including access to TRI (A or B categories).  Access is either online only or print and online.
  • Student Membership with access to TRI (A or B categories).  Access is either online only or print and online.
  • Concessionary Membership with access to TRI (A or B categories).  Access is either online only or print and online.  Concessionary membership is for those who are unwaged, Contingent/Non-affiliated (income below living wage in country of employment), retired.  We kindly and respectfully ask retired members to consider, in accordance with their level of income, whether to opt for this concessionary rate.

There are two fee levels:

  • If your country of residence is classified by the World Bank under: HIGH-INCOME ECONOMIES, please pay Band A membership. 
  • If your country of residence is classified by the World Bank under: LOW-INCOME; LOWER-MIDDLE INCOME or UPPER-MIDDLE-INCOME ECONOMIES, please pay Band B membership.

Yearly membership includes access to Theatre Research International plus online access to all back issues of the journal.

Individual Member:

The annual subscription for Individual Members is €75 (Band A).  Online only access to TRI.

For members in qualifying countries the annual subscription is €25 (Band B).  Online only access to TRI.

The annual subscription for Individual Members is €80 (Band A). Print and Online access to TRI.

For members in qualifying countries the annual subscription is €30 (Band B).  Print and Online access to TRI.

Student Member:

The annual subscription for Student Members is €25 (Band A).  Online only access to TRI.

For Student members in qualifying countries the annual subscription is €15 (Band B).  Online only access to TRI.

The annual subscription for Student Members is €30 (Band A).  Print and Online access to TRI.

For Student members in qualifying countries the annual subscription is €20 (Band B).  Print and Online access to TRI.

Concessionary Member:

The annual subscription for Concessionary Members is €60 (Band A).  Online only access to TRI.

For Student members in qualifying countries the annual subscription is €20 (Band B).  Online only access to TRI.

The annual subscription for Concessionary Members is €65 (Band A).  Print and Online access to TRI.

For Student members in qualifying countries the annual subscription is €25 (Band B).  Print and Online access to TRI.

Please note that all rates are in EUR. Please be aware that local banks may convert the transaction if your local currency is not EUR.
