Introducing Linguistics

Roumyana Slabakova is Professor and Chair of Applied Linguistics at the University of Southampton and Adjunct Research Professor at NTNU Trondheim. She investigates the interfaces of form and meaning in the linguistic competence of adult second language learners, heritage speakers and multilinguals. Her book Second Language Acquisition was published by Oxford University Press in 2016. She is the co-Editor of ‘Second Language Research’ (Sage).
