Who is it?

Time: 20–25 minutes
Activity type: Class interviews
Preparation: Click here to download the Talking point activity.
Make one copy of Talking point 1 for every student.

  1. Give each student a handout. Have students fill in the right column with their own information.
  2. When students have finished, collect the papers and redistribute them. Make sure each student gets a different student’s paper.
  3. Have students form pairs and write the questions they must ask to find out the answers. Elicit, for example, What is your hometown?
  4. Have students go around the class and interview other students to try to find out whose paper they have. Encourage Ss to ask follow-up questions and add extra information.
  5. When students have finished, ask for any interesting information they discovered.
