Time: 15–20 minutes
Activity type: Discussion circles
Preparation: Click here to download the Talking point activity.
Make one copy of Talking point 10 for every 14 students. Cut into cards.

  1. Have students form two groups of seven. Give each student one card.
  2. Ask one group of seven to stand in a circle facing outward. Then ask the other seven students to form an outer circle facing a partner from the first group.
  3. Give students one minute to discuss the problems on their cards and give advice.
  4. After one minute, have the students in the inner circle rotate one person to the left so that each student is now facing a new partner.
  5. Repeat steps three and four above until students have made one full rotation around the circle.
