Who am I?

Time: 15–20 minutes
Activity type: Guessing game
Preparation: Click here to download the Talking point activity.
Make one copy of Talking point 13. Cut into cards.

  1. Tape one card onto the back of each student.
  2. Have students walk around the class and ask one another yes-no questions to try to find out the identity of the celebrity on their backs. Elicit, for example: Am I a woman?, Can I sing?, Do I have brown hair? Students should answer only yes or no. When a student receives a no answer, he or she should move to a new partner and ask another question.
  3. When students have guessed their own celebrity identities, they may take the card off, but they should continue to answer their classmates’ questions.
  4. When students have finished, ask them to say which celebrities they would most like to meet.
