A great trip

Make one copy of Talking point 6 for every two students.

  1. Have students form pairs. Give each pair a handout. Ask students to read the postcard and discuss the answers to the questions.
  2. Go over possible answers to the questions with the whole class.
  3. Ask students to think of a travel destination they want to visit. Tell them to imagine they are on the trip right now. Then have each student write a postcard to his or her partner about the trip.
  4. Tell students to exchange postcards with their partners.
  5. Have students read each other’s postcards. After they read their cards, encourage them to ask questions to find out more about their partner’s trip.
