Time: 15–20 minutes

Preparation: Click here to download the Talking point activity.
Make one copy of Talking point 7 for every two students. Cut into cards.

1. Have students form pairs. Give each pair one set of cards placed facedown in order from 1 to 6.
2. Explain that when you say “Go!” each pair should turn over the first card. They will have one minute to write as many words as possible for the category on the card.
3. Tell students to turn over the first card. Say “Go!” After one minute, have pairs read the answers on their cards.
4. Pairs get one point for each unique answer. If a word is mentioned by more than one pair, no
   points are given.
5. Continue with the other five cards. The pair with the most points wins.
