What a terrible trip!

Time: 15–20 minutes
Activity type: Storytelling
Preparation: Click here to download the Talking point activity.
Make one copy of Talking point 13 for every two students.

1. Have students form pairs. Give each pair one handout.
2. Explain that students should read the story and fill in the missing information with their own ideas.
3. When students have finished, have pairs combine to form groups of four and take turns sharing their stories.
4. After each story, the group discusses what tips or advice they would give Emily to make her trip more enjoyable.
5. Ask for volunteer pairs to share their stories with the class.
