The joy of travel

Time: 15–20 minutes

Make one copy of Talking point 15 for every six students. Cut into cards.

1. Have students form groups of six. Give each student one card.
2. Students share their quotations with the group and discuss possible meanings. Encourage students, when possible, to give examples from their own experience and to try to explain the quotations in their own words. Ask students to say whether they agree or disagree with each quotation and why.
3. When students have finished analyzing the quotations, have each student choose one that they find especially inspiring and share it with the class, saying why he or she chose it.
