Make one copy of Talking point 8 for every four students. Cut into cards.

1. Have students form groups of four. Hand out one set of discussion cards to each group, placed facedown.
2. Students take turns turning over a card and reading the question aloud. Then each student in the group gives his or her opinion on the topic. The aim is for all students to participate in the discussion. You may want to set a time limit of one or two minutes per question.
3. When students have finished, ask groups to share any interesting points from their discussions.
