The river course as drawn makes no sense, since it flows from one shore to another, and therefore naturally lacks a source. Conceivably, the original river course was just the righthand part, and thus to be identified with the Pediaios (BAtlas 72 D2) or Barbaros? (BAtlas 72 C2); we may imagine that a copyist later extended the course leftwards. See note under river #8.
