The Lab Program consists of Lab Cassettes and Lab Guides. It offers supplemental listening material to accompany all four levels of New Interchange.


LAB CASSETTES

The Lab Cassettes can be used alone, or with the Lab Guides. The cassettes provide:

• Listen-and-repeat exercises for pronunciation practice
• Interactive exercises to promote fluency
• Listening comprehension exercises to improve oral comprehension
• Ample time on the cassette for students to answer
• Answers modeled on the cassette to give students immediate feedback
• Conversational language and natural recordings

LAB GUIDES

The Lab Guides contain tapescripts of the Lab Cassettes and provide three levels of support: Part A contains only the directions to each exercise; Part B contains the script for each exercise but without the responses; Part C contains the complete script for each exercise, including responses.
